The history of the brand

Mufti was founded in 1998 with a single goal in mind: to present an alternative to mainstream fashion’s ‘uniform’ codes.Mr. Kamal Khushlani began making shirts and fell in love with fabrics and colours. He went on to become an expert in designing attractive items that reflect both international codes and the Indian culture. Mufti was soon worn by all Bollywood stars.

Mufti introduced stretch jeans around the turn of the 2000, a one-of-a-kind product with a flawless fit that was quickly embraced by the rest of the world.

Mufti has developed from a company that only sold shirts and jeans to one that currently sells T-shirts, shorts, joggers, coats, blazers, and a few accessories.

The origins of the term “Mufti”
‘Mufti,’ a name derived from Colonial India’s armed forces, is a phrase for informal clothing rather than donning a uniform.Keeping the brand’s casual wear in mind, the initial tagline was created: “Mufti – anything else is uniform.”

The motto was reinvented as the business and market grew over time: “Mufti – alternative clothing.”

Mufti was created by Mr. Kamal Khushlani, the company’s creator and CEO, and is marketed and distributed by Credo Brands Marketing Pvt. Ltd.Mr. Khushlani, who has over 20 years of expertise, created the company from the ground up. His company’s mission and goal has always been to create the world’s first global fashion brand with Indian heritage.

The brand is currently accessible in roughly 110 large format shops (LFSs), 1400 multi-brand outlets (MBOs), and 250 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) across India.
